This guide handles the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just right before Thotar gives you a taming Rod for just a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar provides you with a series of 3 taming rods, every one is different and allows you tame beasts in the next order: read this post here Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Armored Scorpid.

After getting finished the taming Element of the Quest chain, you must head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot from the Valley of Honor as a way to unlock your companion pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Eventually, don't forget to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet skills that you must give to your pet.
